What is 16 Days of Activism 

Every year, the 16 Days of Activism is a global campaign to increase awareness of gender-based violence (GBV) and encourage action against it. Today is the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and in 16 days on December 10th, we will mark Human Rights Day.

The 16 days of activism bring people and organisations from all over the world together to confront harmful norms, provide assistance to survivors, and strive for a world free from violence.  

Our Mission

At The Vavengers, we convene, support and campaign. As a led by and for movement, we create solutions that work for women and girls to end Violence Against Women and Girls. 

Throughout the 16 days of activism, we will walk you through our activism work and showcase ways anyone can be an activist while understanding the issues we work to address better.
