Vavengers & AWRA co-convene high-level engagements during UN CSW70

Vavengers and AWRA co-convened high level engagements parallel to UN Commission on the Status of the Women 70th session. Meetings and events took place across the high level week in New York and Washington DC where guests from policy, CSO, donor, government and corporations joined to discuss our key message for CSW70 ‘resource mobilisation to end Gender-Based Violence’. In New York, Vavengers and AWRA partnered with Vital Voices, Femmes for Freedom, Unchained at Last. New York panel & reception was kindly hosted by our long-term legal partner, Clyde & Co.

We were welcomed by the British Embassy in Washington for a CSW70 parallel session, co-hosted by Sema Gornall and Lucy Ferguson (Minister Counsellor for Foreign Policy, Security and Development) and co-convened by Vavengers and AWRA at the Deputy Ambassador’s private residence. The lunch convening welcomed guests from civil society, donor community and government members to discuss mobilising resources towards ending Gender-Based Violence.
