Payzee Mahmod joins The Vavengers as Advisor & Campaign Ambassador

The Vavengers is delighted to welcome Payzee Mahmod, a global advocate working to end Gender-Based Violence to join The Vavengers as Advisory Board Member & Campaign Ambassador. The announcement comes following the recent global campaigning expansion of The Vavengers, as we onboard advocates with global expertise and great interest in the issues we work to end. Payzee will be instrumental in helping The Vavengers thrive in a global space with continued convening efforts while platforming the frontline activists and survivor voices.

Their work to end Gender-Based Violence aligns deeply with my passion for contributing to creating a safer, fairer world for women and girls. Together, I am confident we can amplify the voices of survivors, challenge harmful norms, and push for meaningful change on a global scale. Payzee Mahmod’s biography:

Payzee Mahmod is an award-winning activist, public speaker, and consultant specialising in gender equality. As a survivor of child marriage and honour-based violence, she uses her platform to campaign for legislative change, speaking passionately about her experiences and the need for social justice. Payzee leads the campaigns team at IKWRO - Women’s Rights Organisation.

Payzee has delivered speeches during UNGA Week, CSW and participated in global movements like Global Citizen, and is the co-chair of Girls Not Brides UK. She is an Obama Leader and the recipient of the Global Citizen Prize for her tireless work to end child marriage.
