The Vavengers’ new Patron: Baroness Rosie Boycott

It is with great excitement that we introduce our newest Vavenger: editor, writer, campaigner and prominent feminist voice, Rosie Boycott.

Rosie has 50 years experience as an accomplished journalist, has published 3 books, is currently Chair of the London Food Board (an initiative introduced to improve Londoners access to healthy food), and has been awarded a life peerage by the House of Lords.

“Spare Rib” A Women’s Liberation Magazine, Issue 55, Feb 1977.

While these achievements speak volumes about Rosie’s commitment to guiding society towards positive change, it was her authentic and personal passion for The Vavengers that made us sure she will be an incredible Patron of our work and the women and girls we represent. Since the age of 19 Rosie has worked as a journalist. She cut her teeth at underground magazine Frendz, then went on to work at The Daily Telegraph, Harpers & Queen, Esquire, The Independent, and The Daily Express. In 1972 Rosie co-founded the iconic Spare Rib magazine. This legendary piece of feminist publishing shaped the second wave of feminism in the UK and was published for over 20 years.
