We are The Vavengers; we convene, support and campaign. We are a UK-based female, survivor and migrant-led intersectional anti-Gender-Based-Violence organisation, providing direct support to survivors of VAWG, convening governments, gender equity & racial justice and anti-poverty sectors and campaigning globally to create systemic change. The Vavengers is a global advocacy and strategist collective and understands the issues facing people on the frontline while delivering the change at a systemic level with the survivors’ input and leadership at every stage of our work. Together, we will end Gender-Based Violence.

The Vavengers is looking for the next Chair for our Board of Trustees. The role involves understanding the bold & ambitious culture and dynamics of The Vavengers, providing leadership and governance to the Board of Trustees and working closely with the CEO to develop the organisation’s future.
Mabel Evans co-founded The Vavengers 10 years ago and served as the first CEO until 2021 and led the Board of Trustees as Chair from 2021 until now. As Mabel moves on to the next chapter of her activism work while she will still be part of The Vavengers in a new honourary role, she makes room for a new Chair to take this important position. Our next Chair will be an individual of considerable experience, presence and bold authority, matching our organisation’s values and ambition.
