Meet Vavengers Ambassadors; a mini impact clip made by our ambassadors
The Vavengers Ambassadors are the heart and soul of our movement. People often ask us how we do it all with a small team. Our answer is always that we aren't a small team at all! We have a huge team of Vavengers working with us, designing, producing, evaluating and marketing our important work. The Vavengers prioritise investing in survivor and community leadership, working with a local to global approach - recognising those affected by the issues as experts.
We also build meaningful pro bono partnerships and provide safe spaces to our ambassadors so that their important work can be recognised and considered in the national and global agenda.
We started the ambassadorship programme a few years ago with just 5 ambassadors to build a structure to our existing collective working style and now we have over 50 community, campaign and youth ambassadors. We are on a mission to bring on more voices to widen our reach as our offering increases through ever-expanding pro bono partnerships alongside the well-maintained safe campaigning space we offer to our ambassadors.
If you are an activist at any age or gender who wants to be a part of a national and global campaign to end Gender-Based Violence while also receiving tailored support for your activism, send us an email at info@thevavengers.co.uk
The best part of this mini impact clip is that it was all done by some of our ambassadors, led by one of our founding members and long-time ambassador Soraya Ali. Hear from some of our ambassadors Warda Mohamed Faysal Curry Julia Elstrodt Giap and Adama on why they are involved in the work of The Vavengers and reach out if it sounds interesting.
