The Vavengers convene global partners at the British Embassy in Washington

We welcomed global partners from legal and commercial firms, governments, non-profits, activists, survivor experts and donors who have been supporting our work. The convening was part of our US launch of the global landscape report and we welcomed guests from various sectors to bring our heads together to launch next steps following the report.

We were hosted by colleagues at the British Embassy in Washington and the event announced our new partnership with Vital Voices, a global women’s rights organisation that will work with us on the next steps of ensuring FGM is in the global agenda.

The speakers included Michael Oatley, the CPS UK & US Liaison, Sir Max Hill KCB KC Patron of The Vavengers, Sema Gornall CEO of The Vavengers and Marina Pisklakova-Parker is the VP of Advocacy at Vital Voices Global Partnership.
