The Vavengers launches new strategy at 2025 Annual General Meeting

We launched our new strategy for 2025 - 2028 at our public AGM. The strategy ‘A Blueprint for Ending FGM and

Intersecting Violence in our lifetime’ captures the new tagline, focus areas, and our three-year plan. The full strategy will be available to partners who wish to learn more about the ins and outs of our thought process, our new strategic model, and work that will be prioritised over the next three years. The AGM welcomed guests who are our sector partners, legal and professional partners, ambassadors, trustees and advisory board members, as well as potential supporters. The meeting was opened by our Patron, Sir Max Hill KCB KC and we welcomed our new Chair of the Board of Trustees, Yasmin Pakzad, at her first formal engagement, who gave keynote remarks on her plans during her term at The Vavengers. The keynote was followed by a panel discussion on our new strategy, chaired by our CEO Sema Gornall, with speakers Warda Mohamed, Founder of Lasting Support and Head of Community at The Vavengers and Naimah Hassan, CEO of African Women’s Rights Advocates and Trustee at The Vavengers.
